Regimental guidon

 

On the 12th of September 2009, the Mayor and Council representing the citizens of Waterloo, Ontario gave The Freedom of the City to 31 CER (The Elgins) at a parade held in the heart of Waterloo. The Honourary Col of the regiment, Lord Elgin (Chief of the Clan Bruce) arrived from Scotland to attend this important function and the weather could not have been better. The evening closed out the day with a mixed dining in held at Branch 530 of the Royal Canadain Legion in Waterloo.

For this event, Sheba Imports was honoured to have been commissioned to supply the official items, ranging from the Jeep troop pennants, the collectable lapel pin and the hand embroidered vehicle pennant in gold bullion (staff car) and the presentation item to the City of Waterloo on behalf of the regiment.
